The sunflower is named after its huge, fiery blooms, whose shape and image are often used to depict the sun. The origin of the word derives from Greek wordshelios (sun) and anthos (flower) since this flower is known for following the position of sun during the whole day. The evidence thus far is that the sunflower was first domesticated in Mesoamerica, present day Mexico, by at least 2600 BC. It also was the favourite flower of Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh, who immortalized it in some wonderful paintings around 1888.
The Girasole is the largest room of our Villa in which the yellow colour embellishes the Venetian furniture. It is a double room (but an additional single bed can also be added) with a plasma screen TV 26’’ LCD, a large wardrobe with strongbox and free Wi-Fi Internet connection.
Each room is wide and comfortable and has a private bathroom with ceramic finishing, shower, linens and a hairdryer. The Venetian style furnishings and the wooden beam ceiling enrich the Villa, turning it into a warm place to relax yourself.
